Admin Enquiry FAQs

What has changed in Admin Enquiry for NSW schools?

Changes to the NSW Department of Education’s (NSW DoE’s) data strategy will mean that the current data feed, providing information to Sentral’s Enquiry module, will be switched off.  In anticipation of this change, Sentral has made changes to the Enquiry module.

What does this mean?
The change will mean that certain reports and exports will no longer be available in Sentral’s Enquiry module. To access data for these reports and exports you will need to refer to NSW DoE systems.

Which reports will no longer be available?
The following reports will no longer be available in the Enquiry module:
  • Special Activities Sport Roll Class
  • Authenticated Internet & Email Permission
  • Teacher Synopsis
  • Scripture Students
However, these reports will still be accessible from the NSW DoE’s admin system: EBS4.

Which exports will no longer be available?

The following exports will no longer be available in the Enquiry module:

* EduWeb SCHOOL.TXT
This is no longer supported by Sentral
*XSUIM User
This is no longer supported by Sentral
*Truancy Call
This is no longer supported by Sentral
*Motorised Markbook
This is no longer supported by Sentral
*Student Travel Information
This information can be sourced from EBS4.  Alternatively, when a school receives travel information for a student, this information could be stored in the Sentral Attendance module.
*Equipment
This data can be reviewed directly within the Sentral Asset Manager module.
*Edval Student Classes
Schools using Edval to integrate with Sentral should create academic classes as required within Edval itself in order to create timetables.
*Edval Rooms & Edval Staff
This data must now be managed between Edval and EBS4.
*Edval Students
A standard student export generated in Sentral would provide similar data, however, the template may need to be adjusted to suit Edval imports.
*Absences
Schools can use the Sentral Attendance module for absences exporting
